The testimonies of the participants who were the innocent victims of the aggressive actions of the gendarmes are a nightmare. A Hotnews journalist was beaten without a reason by the gendarmes, though he told them he was from the press. There are young people who have holes in their feet from the grenades thrown by the gendarmes, although they were not in any group of hooligans. There is video footage of young people walking along the streets beside Victoriei Square, who were hit by gendarmes. This evidence exists, we all saw them.
The gendarmes launched tear gas across the Square, fired randomly with cannons. This shows that they have not tried to isolate violent people, but preferred to act massively against all protesters, including children and elderly. The young gendarme hit by the hooligans was defended by the people in the Square and not by their gendarmerie colleagues.
Tonight, protests are announced again. The President must ensure that no state institution will act against the people again. No one has to risk anyone’s life.
