Prosecutors announced today:
– the intervention order for the forcible evacuation of Victoriei Square on August 10, 2018 was illegal,
– the prefect was pressured to approve the order,
– the time of approval of the order was modified in the Operational Action Log of the Gendarmerie,
– Violence was also directed against children.
I hope it is only the first step in finding the truth and that justice will not be stopped by politicians from reaching those who have politically ordered the violence.
Three Gendarmerie Chiefs and a State Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior were charged today with the file on the peaceful evacuation of peaceful protesters in Victory Square on August 10, 2018.
